The donation which was held at the premises of the Ga Central Municipal Clinic on the 7th of September 2018 saw most District executives, National Service Personnel and Regional Executives honoring the event. The concept of the hospital donation as clarified by the President of the association, Allen Obeng Asare was to come to the aid of the clinic which has been ruled out to be one of the least privileged in the region. Placing themselves as agents of change, items donated to the clinic were amazing and thus, will provide enormous support to the clinic. A conscious effort of identifying some needs in the society and making little impacts was achieved at the end of the donation exercise. A warm reception and joyous moments in the clinic environment by the health workers signified a sig

A direct sense of showmanship and need to respond to the cry of the needs of the less privileged is what makes the existence of an organization a great one. This act of astute showmanship was displayed by the national service personnel of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority in the La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly when they decided to respond to a news item by TV3 on the needs of the people living in the Otaomina community, a small community in the Ga west district of the Greater Accra Region to have a safe source of drinking water. The people of Otaomina have been living in their community with no ideal source of water for their daily activities. They rely only on the rains for water during the rainy season or will have to travel several kilometers to nearby towns when the rains stop in order to have water. This situation had made the lives of the people of Otaomina very difficult until the Local NASPA of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority led by Miss Madina Ibrahim decided to come to

Education on Safe Use of Liquefied Gas under the aegis of the LaNMMA NASPA Women's Commission

Education on Safe Use of Liquefied Gas under the aegis of the LaNMMA NASPA Women's Commission Most of us witnessed the gas explotion at the Atomic Junction gas filling station. We saw what uncontrolled fire can do. Imagine that explosion in your home and the harm it can bring to you and those you love. It doesn't take much for fire to cause havoc. Negligence, like leaving the gas cooker on can bring a mansion to it knees. It is a must, therefore, to have ample education on managing gas at home. Make a date to a comprehensive Education on Safe Use of Liquefied Gas under the aegis of the LaNMMA NASPA Women's Commission on the 12th of July, 9:00am at the PRESEC Auditorium. Remember, fire is a good servant, but a very bad and unforgiving master. Be wise! Signed: ✍🏽 Suraiya Gomda Women’s commissioner NASPA LANMMA DISTRICT πŸ“ž 0500035165 Richter M. THANK YOU The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament shows his handiwork. Helen Keller was definitely not wrong when she said 'Alone, we can do so little but together we can do so much.' Despite all odds and inconveniences, great love and sacrifice has been shown by most in the success of the Entrepreneurship, Project Management and Leadership seminar. Gratitude feels our hearts at this moment and its just a fraction our mouths can sing so all can hear our intentions of gratefulness. We really appreciate the support of all committee members, National Service Personnel within Accra Metro, district executives, regional executives , national executives, resource Personnel and all who have helped in diverse ways to make this program a success. The reciprocity of solidarity in NASPA lives on. The love and unapathetic attitude shown by personnel within and outside our space is worthy of notice and praise. Tales of An NSS Teacher in Shai Osudoku District

Tales of An NSS Teacher:  Today Another beautiful day is here again for an NSS teacher. That’s the thing about my new neighbourhood where I wake up to a beautiful display of nature. Today, like every other day, I stood on my verandah to receive the cool morning breeze, scented with vegetation freshness. Even the sun comes up in grand style—carefully shooting out its rays, hitting the trees, and reflecting on the leaves. The result is a set of beautiful patterns on the ground. Then carefully, it rises into full roundness, as if to say “Hey there, Good morning”! READY FOR SCHOOL TODAY I am seated on the Okada (motorcycle, bike), once again with awide-eyed kind of expectation for the day. Ermm….for the classroom sounds more like it. Whisking past houses and passengers seated on okadas, it occurs to me how my fantasies about rural areas play before my eyes each day. Ha! The school children here have to travel long distances to school, especially. It is not that there aren’t enou
