LADMA NSP's RESPONSE TO SOCIETY; AN ACT OF PATRIOTISM.
The National service Personnel Association in the La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly together with the Municipal Assembly on Saturday, 23rd June, 2018 embarked on a massive clean-up exercise.
As such, all National Service Personnel in the district converged at the LADMA Annex in the hours of 6:00 GMT to ensure full participation in the exercise.
The exercise dubbed “Keeping LADMA Clean, the role of the National Service Personnel” forms part of the activities of Service personnel in the district in contributing to the President’s vision of making Accra the cleanest city in Africa.
This year’s event saw a host of service personnel coming in their numbers and the residents in and around Labadi providing them with cleaning equipment to support the exercise. The National Service Personnel and the Assembly defied the heavy rainfall to sweep the community, streets, unclog the gutters, among other activities.
Present at the event was the District Director of the National service scheme together with the Executives of National Service Personnel in the assembly.
Speaking to UTV after the exercise, they stressed on the need to keep our environments clean to prevent us from getting Cholera and also to reduce the rate of perennial flooding.
There was a socialization section at the LADMA annex after the clean-up exercise. There, they also admonished all service personnel to be actively involved in subsequent activities.
