HAIL THE GIANTS - iSTART Entrepreneurship Challenge At The Eleventh Hour

Innovation, Ideologies and Inspiration has driven the Giants to the extra mile.
The top 20 companies who emerged finalist will battle out at the final business pitching on the 26th July, 2018 at the University of Professional Studies School (LBC Auditorium) at Legon.

The entrepreneurship challenge which was launched about two months ago by the Greater Accra National Service Personnel Association saw 138 companies sign up into the maiden challenge.

Per the standards offered by the prime partners and sponsors, 94 of the applicants were shortlisted based on the entry requirements. It is worthy of notice that some of these firms which didn't make it did not complete the sign up process with required documents.

The first training session which was held at the GNAT Hall in Accra had yet another sieved 43 start-ups.

The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan, has been the Fronters of this challenge and responsible for the training and all other technicalities associated with the challenge.

The Head of Business Development of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan, Mr Franklin Karikari has played an active role in engineering the the training schedules for the start ups.

The first training was geared towards equipping the start ups on some knowledge on
1. Business Module Canvases
2.How to work with others
3. Personal Branding
4. Effective Communication
5.How to draw a detailed Business Plan etc.

The applicants were given assignments to build their capacity on start ups and their technicalities.

Subsequent trainings were fixed to achieve the aim of the challenge. Thus, equipping the national service personnel to appreciate the value of Entrepreneurship and the role of it in minimizing unemployment.

The list of the 20 finalist has been released by the facilitators of the challenge (NEIP) and  are as follows;

The finalist, at 10:30 am will battle out with their pitching at the aforementioned venue for the ultimate prize packages.

In attendance will be the C.E.O of NEIP and Venture Capital, Lawyer John Kumah and Mr. Owusu.

The Director of NSS (Greater Accra), Madam Anastasia Zano and the administrator Mr. Jacob Lomotey will also grace the function.
Stakeholders from the NSS Headquarters will make their way to this maiden initiative as well.

We are also by this, inviting all and sundry to witness the grand finale on the said date and time.

The finalists amongst others are commended for daring to venture in this maiden initiative.
